the project

Code Red: Jaytim zine will be a digital only zine focused on the relationship between Tim Drake and Jason Todd in a romantic setting across the DC universe and beyond.

Please note: the use of "jaytim" in the zine title is solely as a way to encompass the romantic relationship between Tim and Jay across the board and not as a single dynamic. Therefore the zine welcomes all creators who love tim and jay together, regardless of their dynamic. This zine is to celebrate, not divide. In times of rampant conservatism and negativity, we hope we can create, share and support each other all the while respecting each other's preferences. Our zine will be a Charity zine and the charity organization our contributors selected to support is Doctors Without Borders.

What is the theme of the zine?
The zine will contain fanworks set in different DC medias, timelines and/or alternate universes

Will there be a physical zine?
Unfortunately no. We don't want to bite more than we can chew, as the saying goes and we definitely want to make this zine happen. Nonetheless, we aim to produce a zine with printable quality.

Will the zine contain NSFW works?
Yes. The Code Red will have a main volume containing strictly SFW works and a secondary separate NSFW volume. The works in this volume may be standalone and some may be complimentary works to the SFW volume. The NSFW will be sold as a bundle only.

Is this strictly a top Jason/bottom Tim zine?
The zine will be centered around the relationship between Tim Drake and Jason Todd regardless of their dynamic in the bedroom: This means this zine welcomes all jaytim (bottom tim), timjay (bottom jason) and jaytimjay (switch) - etc (i don't know, the sky is the limit i guess). The use of "jaytim" in the zine title is solely as a way to encompass the romantic relationship between Tim and Jay across the board and not as a single dynamic. Such tagging will only be used in the nsfw volume.

Will there be contributor applications?
This fanzine is invite-only. All contributor spots have already been accepted and filled. For us organizers with little experience and a dream, this was the safest way to manage a group of people in a project that demands time, commitment and a safe environment for the participants.

What does it mean this is a “Charity” zine?
This means all profits from the zine sale are donated to a charity. Since Code Red will be digital-only, all proceeds from the zine will be donated to support our chosen charity, Doctors Without Borders.
